Biscuit Block - Honing Guide Set Up Block
This listing is for the Biscuit Block - Honing Guide Set Up Block as featured on the Timber Biscuit Woodworks YouTube channel.
This Biscuit Block was designed to work with the Vertias Side Clamping Honing Guide, aligning for both the upper and lower guide locations. But being that there are two areas on the block, it will work with other brands, as shown in the build video.
This item is made from 3/4" Baltic Birch plywood and is left unfinished so you can match the other finishes used in your shop.
The finished size for the Biscuit Block is 3.5” W x 4” L x 3/4” D
A complete video on my YouTube Channel shows how to use the registration guide, which includes 25, 30, and 35-degree angles for your chisels and plane irons.

INSTRUCTIONS
The U is designed for use with the upper jaw location Veritas Side Clamping Honing Guide.
The L is designed for use with the lower jaw location of the Veritas Side Clamping Honing Guide.
Working from the center or top of the Biscuit Block, the stops are set for 25, then 30, then 35-degree bevels.
If you use a honing guide other than the Veritas Side Clamping Honing Guide, you must check both the U and L sides of the Biscuit Block to see which matches your honing guide. To do that, you can set your honing guide up using the 25-degree setting, then use an angle finder to check the angle. You can do that by placing the chisel blade down onto a wood surface and attaching a magnetic angle finder to the back of the chisel, or you can use a bevel gauge if you do not own a digital angle finder.
Depending on the brand, you will only use either the U or L sides of the Biscuit Block.
