Modern Kitchen Island

In today’s video, I build a modern kitchen island. I made this kitchen island to fit comfortably in the center of the kitchen and to maximize counter space. The table is built from walnut hardwood and uses traditional mortise and tenon joinery along with other traditional joinery techniques. I added two large drawers and a slatted lower shelf to take advantage of its footprint and include easily accessible extra storage. The simple modern design makes an excellent centerpiece for any kitchen upgrade.
