Today I’m going to build a modern headboard. For this woodworking project, I used stopped dados to create a seamless 3D wave design. The organic feel in the waves was achieved by using a combination of a bandsaw, spokeshave, and some other hand tools. 

While stressful at points (trying to get those stopped dados just right), this was a very rewarding project. Of course, I used walnut to make this headboard, both plywood for the panel and hardwood to carve the wavy pieces.
